NIKKITA HOLDER

See what my clients have to say

Nikkita's story, work ethic, and zest for life are things that should be shared with the world. Her achievements on and off the track, as an Olympian and single mother are nothing less than remarkable. I cannot wait to see where she goes next!

Herizon House serves as a front line emergency shelter for women and children fleeing gender-based violence in Durham Region. Following Ms. Holder’s presentation, our clients expressed the impact her story had on them, the feeling of hopefulness they felt and how much they enjoyed hearing her story and connecting with her afterwards. Due to the positive impact on the clients, she was invited back several times. Herizon House continues to be thankful to Ms. Holder as she empowers, inspires and motivates the women and families at Herizon House working to live a life free of violence.

As an administrator, I was proud to have Nikkita into my school in February 2020, to address our students. I have known her for almost 20 years, having being her teacher and her coach back in her early high school years. Seeing the success now in the little Grade 9 student I knew, humble and sweet, and so hard-working, is not surprising. Her dedication to her talents has certainly paid off with her success. Being able to introduce her to my students, and have the students cheer to have an Olympian present in front of them, was a real honour. Her discussion around resiliency using her personal examples had such impact on the students. There were many students lined up afterwards looking for one on one conversations to continue the discussion. I am proud of you Nikkita! Keep up your good work and dedication to spread your story. Hope to see you again soon.

Olympian Nikkita Holder is a true inspiration and selfless individual. Without hesitation, Nikkita attended the 2016 KZ Run/Walk for Maisy and Shannon where she served as a role model and cheerleader to young athletes and families participating in the annual event. Nikkita generously extended her visit to make a presentation to the Kitigan Zibi school on her athletic career and journey to the Olympics. Nikkita also shared her story through an extensive interview with the Kitigan Zibi radio station, CKWE 103.9. Nikkita’s visit to the community was motivating, encouraging and inspiring to all. It is not every day that we get to hear from an Olympian. Kitchi Meegwetch Nikkita for accepting our invitation.
